Bio

James C. Roddey is a businessperson who has been at the helm of 11 different companies. Mr. Roddey is on the board of The Allegheny Institute, Wilhelmina International, Inc., and Sarah Scaife Foundation. Jim is the President of Roddey Consulting LLC.

Mr. Roddey previously held the positions of Chairman of Pittsburgh Water & Sewer Authority (Pennsylvania), Chairman at Port Authority of Allegheny County (Pennsylvania), Managing Partner for Pittsburgh Outdoor Advertising Co., Chief Executive for Allegheny County (Pennsylvania), Chairman at WQED Multimedia, Partner at The Hawthorne Group, Inc., President for International Sports Marketing, Chairman for Star Cable Associates, Inc., Chairman for Business Records Management LLC, Chairman of Port Authority Transit, President of Three Rivers Regatta, President & Director at Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director at Adherence Technologies Corp., President & Director at Rollins Communications, Inc., Principal at The United Way of Allegheny County, and Chairman at Pittsburgh Public Theater. He was a Firm Director at Baker Tilly. 

James C. Roddey served as Allegheny County’s First Chief Executive from 1999 to 2004.  He is a graduate of Texas Christian University and a former Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps.  His 50+ year business career has included the Presidencies of Turner Communication Corp., Rollins Communications Corp., Wexford Health Services, as well as the Presidencies or Chairmanships of 6 other companies.  Mr. Roddey served as a Director of 7 publicly held corporations and as President of 2 national, industry trade organizations. 

Active in civic, community, and governmental affairs, Mr. Roddey has served on the boards of 40 such organizations, 15 of which he chaired. Mr. Roddey has received more than 60 local, state, and national awards from a variety of governmental, industry, civic, educational, and non-profit organizations, including 3 Honorary Doctorates a Distinguished Alumnus Award, and was selected as Pittsburgh Man of the Year.

He supports Lattus because the technology is a fresh and unique platform for companies and organizations to improve their “people-processes,” through hiring, training, retention, mentoring, and marketing.
